Project Origin

One hundred years ago, Mr. Xu Beihong embarked on a journey from Shanghai to share the beauty of Chinese art and culture with the world. A century later, his grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Xu Ji, pay homage to their grandfather's legacy by reimagining Chinese culture through a modern lens. They have combined traditional art with cutting-edge satellite technology and ancient Chinese philosophy to create a unique and innovative project.

By using satellite technology, the project brings to life Beihong's famous "horse" as it travels through space, capturing images of various countries along its journey and realizing the concept of a "Heavenly Horse". This project not only showcases the Chinese cultural belief in the unity of the world and the oneness of all things, but also serves as a tribute to the traditional culture and Mr. Beihong by a new generation of artists in China.
